I almost hate to mention it, given punishing summer the region has experienced thus far & more recent explosion in wildfire activity, but multi-model ensembles are again suggesting potential for very significant heatwave in 7-10 days from NorCal into PacNW & BC. #CAwx #ORwx #WAwx pic.twitter.com/v8bS0OX3ZG

The little rain reprieve B.C. received this weekend for the wildfires and drought is on its way out — soon to be replaced by soaring temperatures again this week as another #heatwave is on the doorsteps. #BCheat #BCdrought #BCwx – https://t.co/lX1rMmahZw

The Weather News

The Weather News

MAJOR heatwave targets the South Coast once again this week. If it weren't for the incomprehensible June heat, a couple stations would have challenged all-time records this go around. #BCHeat pic.twitter.com/JNFTnN9FV7

Some of the people most susceptible to severe heat related illness may not perceive that they are getting too hot. Check on them in-person to evaluate the temperature indoors, or ask them to tell you what it says on their thermostat. https://t.co/nafQ1wbwoK #BCHeatWave pic.twitter.com/yizkYTOniD

A heat wave is affecting many parts of BC. Stay safe:
✔️ Drink plenty of fluids
✔️ Check for cooling centres in your community
✔️ Don’t leave anyone in a car
✔️ Avoid working outside or take plenty of breaks
✔️ Contact a doctor if feeling unwellhttps://t.co/fwfwolxYOY pic.twitter.com/YUEJnpr2jJ— Interior Health (@Interior_Health) August 5, 2021
Temperatures can rise rapidly in enclosed vehicles – never leave children or pets alone in a parked car in the heat. Leaving windows slightly open is still unsafe. https://t.co/lpwGG09bzd #BCweather #BCheatwave #heatwarning pic.twitter.com/DJcravYynb
