本日4月5日(火)、カナダ・BC州政府から重要なことが発表されたので、紹介します。
BCワクチンカードプログラムが4月8日に終了。継続を希望する企業は継続可能
NEW: The B.C. Vaccine Card program will be ending effective Friday at 12:01 a.m. PT, and businesses will be able to transition from the COVID-19 safety plan to the less onerous communicable disease plan.

ついにBCワクチンカードプログラムの終了が発表されました。終了するのは、4月8日(金)12:01am(PT)です。
ただ、それぞれの企業・組織は、施設内でBCワクチンカードを引き続き要求することを選択可能なので、レストランなどで今後もしばらくBCワクチンカードが求められる可能性があります。企業は「COVID-19 safety plan」から、負担が少ない「Communicable disease plan」へ移行することができるとのことです。
また、高等教育後の学生寮での予防接種の証明も不要になります。
ちなみに連邦政府の定めている旅行の際に必要になるワクチンパスポートは今回のものとは関係がないので、注意してください。
4回目のCovid-19ワクチン接種を開始

BC州では、70歳以上の高齢者と55歳以上の先住民のためにCOVID-19ワクチンの4回目の接種を開始しました。
また、臨床的に非常に脆弱とされる人を対象に、4回目の接種も予定されています。
これは、最初のブースターショット(つまり3回目の投与)から6か月が経過し、特にオミクロンの亜種からの保護が弱まっている可能性がある最もリスクの高いグループを対象として行われます。
4回目のワクチン接種の対象となる人へ招待状がまもなく送られるとのことなので、該当する方は連絡を見逃さないようにしてください。

最後に:BC州では18歳以上の州民の59%がブースター接種済み

最後になりますが、州政府発表の最新の数字によると、BC州の59%の18歳以上の成人はブースター接種を受けている状況です。また、州の18歳以上の91%は2回目の接種を受けていて、 5歳~11歳までの適格な子どものうち56パーセントが初回接種済みということです。
ボニー・ヘンリー博士によると、ワクチン接種を受けていない人は入院のリスクがはるかに高いそうです。

ということで規制緩和が少しずつ行われていますが、Covid-19が消えたわけではないので、引き続き手洗いや体調管理に十分にお気を付けください。
