夏を代表する花といえば、ひまわりですよね！

そんなひまわりが辺り一面に咲き乱れる景色が楽しめるイベント「Chilliwack Sunflower Festival」が今年も8月に開催されますよ！

新型コロナウイルスの影響にも負けず、2020年で3回目の開催となるチリワック・サンフラワー・フェスティバル（Chilliwack Sunflower Festival）とは？

We are so excited to be able to share the sunniest of seasons with you this year! This summer, everyone is looking for ways to have fun while staying local and staying safe. We hope everyone in the region who enjoyed the Chilliwack Sunflower Festival in years past – and those who haven’t had the opportunity before – will come and spend some time among the flowers. It’s the perfect way to relax in nature. This year, in order to ensure everyone’s health and safety, some components of the festival have been reimagined. 新型コロナウイルスの影響で2020年は残念ながら中止となりましたが、毎年春の恒例行事となっている Chilliwack Tulip Festivalの運営者が2018年新たに始めたのが、Chilliwack Sunflower Festival です。

Chilliwack Tulip Festivalはカラフルなチューリップをたくさん楽しめるイベントですが、同じ場所（41310 Yale Rd, Chilliwack, BC V2R 4J1）でひまわりが咲き誇ります！

2020年度のオープンは8月12日(水)が予定されていて、チケットはウェブサイトで8月7日から購入できます。今年は新型コロナウイルスの影響でオンラインのみの販売です。

約6エーカーにも広がる場所で咲き誇る25種類のひまわりは圧巻。さらに60種類ものダリアも咲き誇ります。今から楽しみですね～！

例年フードトラックがやってきますが、今年はオランダスタイルの食べ物を提供するDutchliciousがパーキングエリアにやってきます。ただ、新型コロナウイルスのことを考えて、車内での飲食が求められているので、注意してください。

また、ひまわり畑に食べ物を持ち込むことはできず、今年は感染予防の目的でひまわりのU-pickサービスは中止となっているのでこちらも注意。

開花状況は、Chilliwack Sunflower Festivalの公式サイトやFacebookなどをチェックしておくと良いかもしれません！
