There’s so much that stands out about the city of Richmond We’re one of the most diverse populations in the entire country.
And secondly, we are such a central location. We have the Vancouver International Airport right here in Richmond. We’re immediately south of Vancouver. We have the highways, the rail lines, we have access to deep sea ports to the border.
Everything is right here. We are the centre. And we can become a gateway for the Asia-Pacific region, right here.

和訳のポイント
1. vibrant（バイブラント）
この場合はリッチモンド市に住む人々が活気にあふれている様子を表しています。「vibrant」は「vibrant colour」-> 明るく鮮やか色と使うこともできるので、今度ショッピングに行った時、「I prefer more vibrant colours」-> もっと（少々派手）鮮やかな色の方がいいなあと言ってみてください。
2. bustling（バスリング）
「bustling」は「t」が発音されないので気を付けましょう！辞書で調べると騷がしいと和訳が出て来る時もあります。でも、賑やかでエネルギッシュなニュアンスがあるので、マイナスな意味では使いませんね。
3. stands out（スタンズ アウト）
「stands out」はいい意味で目立つ、悪い意味で目立つと使い方が二通りあります。フレーズを紹介します。
-「He stands out like a sore thumb」-> （服装・態度などからして）彼ちょっと場違いじゃない？
-「I like it! It stands out much more. 」-> いいじゃん、もっと目立って！
4. diverse（ダイバース）
「diverse + population」-> 様々な + 人口 -> で多民族となります。でも、「diverse hobby」-> 多趣味とは使えません。「diverse」は使い方が難しいので、代わりに類義語の「various」や「wide range」を使ったフレーズを紹介します。
-「I have a wide range of hobbies」-> 趣味はたくさんあります。
-「There are various flavours available」-> 様々なフレーバー（味）がありますね。
-「I have a lot on my plate！」-> やることがたくさんあり過ぎ！
5. central location（セントラル ロケーション）
直訳すると中心位置ですね。地理上、中心に位置するので便利という意味です。フレーズを紹介します。
「Let’s meet at a central location」-> お互いが時間的、地理的に行きやすいところで会おう。

「central location」を会話で理解しましょう！
